Interview with: Florian Hofer Managing Director of Engel & Völkers Alpenregion Tirol & Salzburger Land

1. Engel & Völkers Alpenregion Tirol & Salzburger Land is the presenting sponsor of the In City Golf event at Innsbruck: what are the reasons behind this partnership?

We have known the In City Golf event for a long time and were able to follow the event a few years ago in Vienna and Trentino and how spectacular the promotion shots were. That impressed us, especially because it is simply something completely different. Who can say I played golf in front of the Golden Roof through the Maria-Theresien street. When we were asked to sponsor this event, we didn’t have to think twice. This concept convinced us from the very first second. We are glad that there are always innovative and new events and that we can contribute our part to them.
Tyrol is already known for its numerous and fantastic golf courses, and the exceptional 18-hole course through the Innsbruck city center will certainly attract a lot of attention.

2. What do you think are the reasons why Innsbruck is such a livable and lovable city and why is it so well suited for an In City Golf event?

One important aspect is definitely the panorama. No other capital city lies in the middle of such a magnificent mountain scenery as Innsbruck does. The best proof are probably the pictures of the promo shot from the Bergisel ski jump. That’s what makes a city unique. We always like to describe our capital as “The Treasury of the Alps – a modern city and pure idyll!” In Innsbruck, the bustling flair of a city, the educational, cultural and culinary offerings of a city are perfectly combined with great nature and the Alps right on the doorstep. And why not play a round of golf through the historical city with all its facets. We think the event fits perfectly in our state capital.

This unique event will remain in the best memory for all of us, we are already sure about that.
